There are two distinct types of interim management. The first one is to manage for a limited time a company or a part of it. The second one is geared towards improvement and consists of a project or the achievement of a set target. This can be the preparation for a QA certification or helping a new manager on track. Interim management is most often embedded in budgets and a level of authority.
